I am pleased to provide a letter of recommendation for Discoveries Unlimited, the current recording and transcription service provider to the Board of Commissioners of Public Utilities.

As Director of Corporate Services and Board Secretary, I have worked with Ms. Judy Moss and members of her company for the last six years in the preparation of transcripts for the Board hearings and inquiries. I have found the staff and work of Discoveries to be extremely professional and dedicated in assisting the Board with providing same day quality transcripts in a prudent and timely manner.

I write at this time to provide a letter of reference for Discoveries Unlimited Inc. ("the Company"). I have been using the services of the Company in my professional practice for a number of years and have always found their work to be of an excellent quality. Their service providers are very professional and their work is performed with precision and accuracy in a timely manner.

My most recent experience with the Company was as co-counsel to the Commission of Inquiry on Hormone Receptor Testing. This was extremely demanding work for the Company which inclued the daily recording of the evidence from public hearings and the completion of transcriptions of evidence the same day for posting on the Commission's website. Often the subject matter was complex and involved scientific and medical terminology. Nonetheless, the transcripts provided by the Company were reliable and accurate. Again, the service provided by the Company was of an exceptional quality and completed promptly.

The Board of Commissioners generally sits for hearings from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Discoveries Unlimited records and transcribes these proceedings and provides the participants to the hearing with a transcript of the day's proceedings during the early evening of the same day. The accuracy and promptness of the transcripts, in my experience, has been excellent and most helpful to the hearing process.
